Fun Facts

My favorite thing to do is to pretend I'm a Master Chef/Baker and to experiment cooking for people with dietary restrictions. I'm super active and I love lifting weights, dancing, roller blading and I'm learning to surf (well trying). I am also currently learning to make my own natural and eco-friendly shampoo, conditioner and soap bars!

About Me

My name is Bela, I'm 26 and I am a nanny& tutor with 8+ years of experience in child care. I have a degree from UConn in Child Development & Human Rights.. I was born in Brasil, I'm very close with my family, and fluent in Portuguese. I studied Spanish formally for 7 years and am very excited to be creating a curriculum to teach toddlers Basic Spanish and Portuguese. I love kids and find it a true honor to be a part of their development.

Experience

I tutored elementary, middle and high school kids all throughout my 5 years at UConn. My specialties are math k-12, languages and history.

Approach

My approach as a tutor is to allow the student to guide the session and I act as a facilitator so they can succeed on their own eventually.
