I love animals and to be in the outdoors. I recently went to Yellowstone and I loved it! I grew up in Washington state and while there I developed a passion to camp and hike.

About Me

I just graduated from Brigham Young University in April 2022. I am planning on going to graduate school in the next year or two and love tutoring jobs like this that I can work around my future class schedule. I consider myself a very patient person and love to watch people learn and grow.

Experience

During my undergraduate experience I worked as a teaching assistant for 2 years on a variety of physics and astronomy classes. My responsibilities included one on one tutoring, homework lab hours both in person and remote, grading papers, and running test review sessions for large classes. I also have tutored friends and family members in high school level math as well as Spanish.

Approach

With every student I start out by recognizing their strengths and weaknesses. With positive encouragement I help them set goals on what they want to learn and then make a plan to accomplish their goals. This would include weekly and daily goals depending on the circumstances of the individual student. I also would send them text messages to remind them and encourage them with their course material. On top of this I make sure to coordinate with their teachers.
