One fact about me that people quickly learn is that I love dogs! I am very passionate about animals and love to spend time outside, especially in the PNW!

About Me

I graduated from Kent State University in 2020 and moved to the Oregon coast to pursue my passion for teaching! I taught kindergarten there before relocating to Portland, where I teach kindergarten now!

Experience

As an elementary teacher, I have experience working with students in small groups to achieve their educational goals based on direct instruction and systematic and child-based approaches to education.

Approach

I believe that 4 elements are essential for students learning. (1) A teacher’s role in the classroom is to guide student learning and thinking while also providing a safe environment. (2) All students feel they can try new things in a risk-free classroom. (3) Students will learn effectively when learning experiences are inquiry-based. (4) Learning through play is essential for young learners.
