Fun Facts

My favorite activity is singing and dancing, when people first meet me one of the first things they notice is that I like to dance! I have also been singing my entire life and practiced classical music for 13 years.

About Me

I am a sophomore at VCU, I am studying Biology on the pre-med track and hope to minor in psychology. After my bachelor's I plan on attending medical school to pursue a career as an Orthopedic Surgeon.

Experience

As a member of many honors societies, I tutored many peers during high school. In addition, I also volunteered as a tutor for an external tutoring company during which I worked with elementary school children. I also spent a semester in high school where I was a teaching assistant for 2nd and 3rd-grade students.

Approach

As a child, I struggled with authority and feared asking questions, as I grew older I had teachers who would help me feel more comfortable with asking questions by engaging with me more. They would arrange break time games to help with stress and reward my peers and me when we completed our work. I have also practiced the same principles, students I have tutored have greatly benefited from this practice of positive reinforcement and they were able to complete work well well beyond their level.
