One passion people quickly learn about me is my passion for learning new things, experiencing different cultures, and trying new foods.

About Me

I grew up in Tampa, Florida:33, and am a Rays fan (both the baseball team and the animal). I went to college in Berkeley, CA, and completed my master's in Biomedical Sciences at Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. I am working towards gaining acceptance into a Clinical Psychology program, shifting my interest from Psychiatry (medicine prescription) to Psychology (talk therapy). Currently, I am serving with AmeriCorps, tutoring, and working as a contract recreational instructor for enrichment programs. I have experience working with students from all backgrounds and at all levels in a variety of subjects. I'm a huge nerd and I hope to spread the nerdiness!!

Approach

I believe in the idea that every child is capable of understanding something--it all comes down to the teacher/tutor, hours of hard work, student-centered learning, and student determination. I try to build a relationship with students and hope to create a judgment-free learning environment in which mistakes are just a part of the process. I hope to engage students and connect learning topics to everyday life.
