About Me
I am the oldest of three children. I am a Denver Native and absolutely love this city! I have been attending Metropolitan State University since 2008. I have loved being part of such a multicultural group of people and learning alongside them.
I have past denver">tutoring experience in remedial Math and Literacy for middle schoolers in Littleton. I am also currently working on my degree in elementary education and have various experiences in schools around the Denver area. I have frequently used denver">tutors myself, especially in my writing, and have found it to be a huge help in building my confidence as a learner and educator.
My denver">tutoring approach relies very strongly on building up a mentor relationship with my client. I believe that if the student is given the opportunity to name what they think they need to work on then they will take real ownership in their academic growth. I also believe that applying real world connections for students can help them grasp ideas that before may have seemed disconnected or particularly confusing to them. Exploring understanding creates real learning.
