Fun Facts
My passion is dendrology ( study of woody perennials) and classical Indian dance Bharatanatyam which I perform and teach. I also love to design gardens, go camping, and explore nature.
About Me
I earned my Horticultural Science degrees (undergraduate and graduate) at the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague where I come from. Recently, I decided to enrich my education by earning a master's at the University of Florida in Forest Resources and Conservation. My interest lies in environmental education and the ecological approach to landscapes.
Experience
I have worked as a tutor already during my middle school and high school years, tutoring math and the Czech language mainly. Later on, I started tutoring science, especially biology to prepare students for college admissions.
Approach
I learned that many children, as well as adults, struggle in a subject due to the inability to comprehend more complex topics in a large classroom setting. A clear and structural explanation can promote comprehension and subsequent learning and help a student to succeed. As a tutor, I make sure that my students are following given instructions and are able to utilize the knowledge further.

EnrolledElementary Math Tutoring
A college math level course was a requirement for my science degree. The basics of math, taught at an elementary level, are always part of more complicated mathematical processes, covered at higher levels. I enjoy math elementary tutoring to give children solid basics to succeed at higher math levels. I frequently practise with my son who is in the 4th grade, in a fully gifted program.
Basic Computer Skills Tutoring
Basic computer skills are required in every college course and I have been working with computers during my studies as well as in my past employment. I took classes in MS Suites, Photoshop, AutoCAD, and ArcGIS.
