English Tutoring

I am a native English speaker but know that learning English can be challenging. I want to help students to be proficient in their English-speaking skills so they can communicate and read important information. I have experience working with and tutoring ESL students.

Homework Coach Tutoring

I have worked as a tutor and mentor for afterschool programs where I have assisted students in Kindergarten through 4th grade. I have worked in the school and home setting, and have experience tutoring a small group of students. I like to make completing homework engaging and fun for the students.

Reading Comprehension Tutoring

I realize that it is not only important for students to learn how to read, but also just as important for them to learn how to comprehend and retain what has been read. I like to work with the students to help them find ways to remember what they are reading. I am patient and realize that it can take some students a little longer to learn certain concepts.

Writing Tutoring

I am a college student and have to write at least 2 papers a month. I have received A's on each of my papers that I have submitted. I know that it can be easy to get stuck when writing, but I have utilized different tools to organize my thoughts to be able to write a great paper.

Reading Tutoring

I am currently teaching my elementary school aged daughter how to read, and though it has been challenging it has also been fun. I like to utilize creative games and stories to help children learn how to read. I realize that each student learns in their own way and at their own pace.

Basic Computer Skills Tutoring

If a person is not able to navigate a computer, they are not able to utilize a very valuable resource. I want to help students build upon what they already know about computers to help them feel more confident in their basic computer skills. I am on the computer usually over 12 hours a day and realize that trying to work on and figure out basic computer skills can be stressful.
