Fun Facts

I was on the school swim team as well as a black belt and instructor in Tae Kwon Do. I have been in a few plays (Chronicles of Narnia, Anne of Green Gables), as an extra only however. I used to be quite good at playing the piano. One of my favorite pastimes is to watch science and nature documentaries.

About Me

I'm 28 years old, I'm a French major at UCLA, and I am passionate about learning languages. I've studied French, Japanese, and a bit of Spanish and I hope to include German and ASL in the very near future. I'm a nerd and have a fondness for animation, science fiction, and film.

In high school, I was in a tutoring program for the local YMCA where I tutored elementary school kids in Math and English. I was also a Tae Kwon Do instructor and taught classes for both children and adults. I created training/lesson plans and helped conduct consultation meetings with parents for younger students.

Patience and repetition is key. My goal is try to get the student in the right mindset and to help them see the trains of thought that go into the subject material and to master the logic behind it. I also believe that it is important to establish good student study habits for the particular subject being taught.
