Fun Facts
I enjoy teaching archery and would be more than happy to offer lessons in that as well. My dream during college was to be a fry cook and write books, and I'm currently living that out.
About Me
I graduated from the University of Arizona in the fall of 2020 with a Bachelor's degree in English and a minor in Philosophy. My professors encouraged me to go to graduate school and teach at the university, but the circumstances of the time prevented me from doing so. I pride myself on my hard work and dedication, and worked my way through college off the sweat of my brow, without the aid of scholarships, grants, or loans.
Experience
I'm an eagle scout and have been a camp counselor with the Boy Scouts of America for 10 years, in a variety of positions. Over the years, I have worked with children who have special needs, most commonly autism and cancer. At present, I'm a kitchen manager for Mama's Hawaiian BBQ. My certifications include Camp School Certified Shooting Sports Director for the Boy Scouts of America, USA Archery Level 2 Coach, NRA RSO, NRA instructor, and a CPR and First Aid certification.
Approach
I believe patience and understanding are among the most valuable traits a teacher could possess. Mistakes are simply a part of the learning process, and are nothing to get overly upset about, but should be acknowledged as an opportunity to learn. Among the best things an instructor can do for his students is to get them excited about the subject matter, and inspire them to reach higher.
