Fun Facts

I am a big Disney fan and have been to Walt Disney World in Florida, Disneyland in California, and Shanghai Disneyland in China, with plans to visit Disneyland Paris next! I also love to cook, bake, and make homemade ice cream, taking inspiration from a huge collection of cookbooks---largely a mix of global cuisine and novelty-themed ones!

About Me

I am a medical student at the louisville">University of Louisville and I'm currently applying for a Pediatrics residency. I'm a first-generation college student, and I made my major in college with concentrations in biology, political science, chemistry, and anthropology. I also dabbled in fun interdisciplinary courses, such as "Misuse of Science in Pop Culture and Film" and "Crime in the Victorian Era".

Experience

I have tutored elementary school children in math, reading, science, and art. I also peer tutored others in algebra, AP English, and ACT prep in high school. I offered homework help to high schoolers while I was in college and mentored other undergraduate students in political science and pre-medicine courses. I served as a teacher for the U of L medical school's pre-matriculation program, teaching incoming medical students about anatomy, embryology, physiology, and clinical skills.

Approach

I believe that anyone can learn, given the time, patience, and cooperation between student and teacher. A good instructor helps others to find the right approach to collect and implement knowledge. To be such an instructor, I try to stay open-minded, flexible, and compassionate.
