Fun Facts
Any day I'm not busy working or spending time with my Fiancee, you can probably find me out in the mountains exploring our national forests and parks. If I'm not there, I'm probably spending all my time in the nearby public library reading fantasy or philosophy.
About Me
I am a fresh graduate from UTSA who is moving to Utah to be with my Fiancee. I spent the last 4 years getting my two degrees, volunteering with local organizations, starting my volunteer organization, and working with professors to organize research seminars on topics our university didn't hold classes on.
Experience
I have worked as a high school and college-level math tutor for several years, both independently and through UTSA. I have also taught lectures in several graduate-level seminars in Mathematics. Additionally, I have written several (unpublished) papers on computer programming work in the AI and Machine Learning fields. Currently, I am furthering my development portfolio with projects such as a personal website, an Android application, and statistical learning algorithms.
Approach
I love exploring the foundations of topics for both myself and my students to provide a deeper understanding than "Use this formula when x>0" or "Copy and paste this code when you want to do this".
I have found through my studies and my time tutoring students week after week, that a slight difference in approach to a topic can be all that's needed for that "Eureka!" moment where everything starts to finally make sense. My goal is to provide that kind of understanding to my students
