About Me
I went to a high school in Cuba that specialized in Math, Physics, Chemistry and science/florida/miami">Computer Science, much like an AP program. I, then started the Physics Engineering career at the University of Havana where I completed 2 of the 5 years of that program. There I had the opportunity to develop strong analytical and problem solving skills as the level of mathematics and logics levels were challenging. When I moved to the United States I changed careers and started the science/florida/miami">Computer Science Program at FIU which is still in progress.
I have tutored more than ten students of High School in Physics and Mathematics in my native country as I was one of the few people in my small town that had enrolled in the University in the field of Physics. In Miami, I have helped several coworkers' sons/daughters currently in High School with the subjects of Physics and Mathematics, especially Mechanics and Trigonometry, respectively.
I use a lot of practical examples to help the student visualize the application and / or understand the particular law/theorem in question. I often solve one problem and let the student solve the rest under my supervision. I try to make the student come out with the solution by asking them a series of question so they arrive at the correct conclusion by themselves, thus helping them to think.
