Fun Facts
I thoroughly enjoy hiking, camping, and photography here in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I also recently developed a penchant for ballroom dancing: Swing, Waltz, and Foxtrot. Perhaps I should have been in the circus, because I have aptitudes for strange things: I can juggle, walk on stilts, ride a unicycle, and hula-hoop while running.

My approach is facilitate the student's learning by breaking down complex topics or problems into their component parts and then to ask key questions to help the learner arrive at each intermediate answer along the way. I also help the student to develop better study strategies through organization of the material and by making helpful diagrams and figures for study and understanding purposes. I will never do a student's problem for him or her but will rather work together with the student to arrive at a strategy for solving the problem that can then be used on future problems.
