In 2015, I graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from San Diego State University.

I currently attend the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry! I love science, playing music, and seeing students succeed!

About Me

Hi from the beautiful Twin Cities! I recently graduated from San Diego State University. I finished with a 3.7+ GPA and earned my Bachelor of Science in Biology. I moved back home (from San Diego to Minnesota!) to continue pursuing my dreams. I'm currently working on my Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. My goal is to become a dentist and work in an underserved area in the Great State of Minnesota. Eventually I would love to become a professor at a dental school because teaching is my passion! I was an active member (and Vice-President) of the Pre-Dental club in undergrad and served as Vice-President for my dental class! Because I wasn't busy enough already, I worked as a Resident Advisor and Academic Mentor in the Residence Halls (dorms) at SDSU for three years.

For my senior high school project, I not only researched the shortage of scientific educators in various fields, but also spent the entire year teacher assisting middle school science as well as spending a semester student teaching during the last hour of each school day in preparation for statewide testing. While working in the classroom, the children and I were always engaged and after each lesson I would take time to demonstrate how they could complete the assignment to their full potential while gaining an appreciation for science. Receiving many thanks from students who were becoming enthusiastic about learning was extremely satisfying. I have continued minneapolis">tutoring friends as well as SDSU freshman as a Academic Mentor hired by SDSU Housing Administration.

I understand each student needs a different approach to being successful. I truly believe with proper teaching and minneapolis">tutoring any student can succeed at any subject. I have incredible patience and am willing to take extra time to work with a student because when they succeed, I share the same sense of accomplishment.
