Fun Facts
Fun facts about me I love to watch the weather channel and read about weather catastrophes. I love meteorology and psychology as it was a minor in undergrad.
About Me
I am currently a Head Start teacher and have taught first and second grade. I've been a reading interventionist for 3-5th grade as well and I obtained my Master's degree from Relay Graduate School of Education. I was born and raised in Memphis, TN and attended University of Tennessee at Martin during my undergraduate.
Experience
I've been teaching for the past 5 years and have taught several grades, first and second grade but also reading intervention to students in grades 3-5. I have enjoyed teaching and like to learn from my students as well as encourage them and motivate them. My favorite subject to teach is phonics instruction because foundational skills are so important in early learning.
Approach
I love to motivate students and break things down for them into smaller portions so that they don't feel overwhelmed. I like to challenge them as well and let them know that they are able to learn new things and we can play and learn at the same time. I look forward to students seeing the growth they've made so that they are just as proud of themselves as I am.
