Fun Facts
I'm incredibly passionate about making those around me passionate about the world we live in. I love to hike, rock climb, and go on any adventure presented to me. I come from a large family in Colorado; they've taught me everything I know about living life to its fullest and enjoying the small moments for what they can teach me! I hope that I can teach others passion the way they've taught me
About Me
I am a junior Ecology major at washington/seattle">seattle-pacific-university">washington/seattle">Seattle Pacific University. When I graduate, I hope to continue at SPU to get my Masters of Arts in Teaching so that I can teach High school Biology one day. With my degree in Ecology and MAT, I hope to inspire and teach students internationally.
I have experience in giving children piano and basic music theory lessons, as well as experience in teaching students in Africa English and self-care lessons. I also casually washington/washington/seattle">seattle">tutor fellow students in Ecology, plant physiology, and in general biology courses.
Growing up, school never came easy to me. I struggled to find the passion of learning behind the overwhelming amounts of work I got assigned, but once I did, school became more than a chore. As a washington/washington/seattle">seattle">tutor, I want to show students the excitement and joy that comes from the learning they can accomplish by making it applicable and tangible in their everyday thinking and lives. I don't want to only help students succeed academically. Rather, I hope to inspire students to want to succeed through curiosity and hands on learning. Using visual, tangible, audible, and intellectual learning tools, I hope to teach students how to ask questions and how to proactively study.
