I have a passion for working with children and teaching them Mathematics and Science. I am a Mathematics subject matter expert and a Mechanical Engineer, so I bring strong Mathematics & Technical Education knowledge, to potential Engineers/Scientists, i.e. Pathways programs for Middle School. I have tutored hundreds of classroom hours with AP/Honors course tutoring over the past six years for our two children, Christina and Christopher Jr. They have been successful with all their AP/Honors level

About Me

I took after my Mother (Edna Wade) who was a principal and long-time teacher at Queen of All Saints Parish in Concord, Ca. I have her passion and love for teaching and student growth. I was born in San Francisco and grew up in Concord, Ca. I attended Catholic K-12 schools and graduated with Academic Honors at the prestigious De La Salle Catholic High School in Concord. As a Mechanical Engineering major, I then endured through Diablo Valley J.C. in Pleasant Hill, Ca., taking and getting an A-grade in every Mathematics course that DVC offered. After completing all the lower-division Mathematics, Chemistry, and College Physics at DVC, I transferred to the University of Alaska in Fairbanks, Alaska for my Mechanical Engineering major and degree. After graduation, I worked with a local Engineering firm during the day and worked toward my M.S. Degree in Engineering Management by attending evening classes.

Approach

I find it important to keep Lesson-Plans current and forecast out 3-weeks to plan ahead, and structure the days with solid Mathematics concepts that are upcoming. I have developed classroom materials lists, organizing activities, assigning homework, grading tests, and preparing students for exams. I demonstrate excellent mathematics skills, analytical thinking, instruction abilities, good communication, and computer competencies.
