I play college basketball at Cornerstone University!
I also love water sports - I wakeboard, waterski, and kneeboard.
I love to get active and eat healthy. I enjoy cooking and finding new recipes to try. I like to weight lift and I work in a gym during the summer.

About Me

I am a senior studying Secondary Education Social Studies and Spanish at Cornerstone University. I have been on the Deans List every semester and I have a GPA of 3.96. I have always loved school and I have learned some great study habits and self-motivational strategies over my 17 years of schooling.

Experience

For the past 12 years, I have worked at Visser Farms and I currently manage around 10 middle and high school age employees. This has given me lots of experience interacting with kids and acquiring strategies for how to best motivate this age group.
I am a note-taker at my university which means I help struggling students in my own classes by taking detailed notes for them each class.
In spring of 2022, I worked as a teacher assistant at Northpointe Christian schools for 6th grade Spanish Immers

Approach

As a tutor, I will strive to make my students feel valued, safe, and encouraged. My top two strengths on the Gallup Strengths Finder test are harmony and activator. I am able to help struggling students remain calm and encourage them to keep their head up! I am also an activator, which means that I can put thoughts into action to achieve goals. I believe that my strengths will be useful as a tutor for helping students cope with stress, motivating students, helping them set goals for themselves.
