Experience
At a young age I began to teach piano & oboe.
The student teaching in FWISD made me wonder if I wanted to teach at all, it was a terrible experience in band. TCU withdrew all student teachers from there. Well, 4 years later I entered the band & choir rooms as a choral & band director as BISD, metroplex area. As I taught grades 6-12 I loved teaching the students totally, the joy!! I had twins so after 6 years I began totally teaching oboe in the university ( & music theory). I continued teaching in band halls tutoring groups of double reeds & private lessons.
Lately I started tutoring math, reading & ELA.
Approach
I believe in a position of positivity.
The steps of Dr. Tim Lautzenhaiser-“ there’s a choice to be right or be kind”!
Select a good attitude & teach this every day to the students. Set them up to win, show them how to win.
