Fun Facts
Besides learning, I am an avid reader and love the outdoors. My hobbies include writing, yoga, drawing/sketching, painting, and, most recently, home DIY projects! A fun fact about me is that I love going to concerts or any kind of live show!
About Me
My mother has always been my inspiration for safe, effective caregiving and teaching of all ages. I often admired her as she worked with Early Childhood students with tenderness and excitement. This was only the beginning to learn how to care for people's needs -- physically, mentally, and emotionally. When I turned 14, I immediately started babysitting and tutoring younger children to make my own money, which I saved and invested for years. I also was a volunteer tutor for my high school until I graduated in 2014. My neighbor has 6 children (3-14) years old, and I've been with them since their oldest was 5. I also dog-sat as well up until recently and even worked at a kennel at one point.
Currently, I am taking a sabbatical from nursing school for personal reasons. In addition, I have experience as a PCT/CNA at Evanston Hospital as well. My time at the hospital taught me so much about how to help others in their times of need. I helped patients on the Medical-Surgical unit with walking (ambulation), bathing, feeding, checking blood sugars and vital signs, and more.
Experience
I have always been a top student, engaged in the most challenging aspects of learning possible. I was an honor student in high school and college, and I have completed a minor in psychology. When in high school, I volunteered for mentoring and tutoring under-privileged children and made efforts to travel locally to help those in my community. I continue to pursue this endeavor to this day. I have a passion for organization and study skills and the psychology behind the ways we, a
Approach
I am very patient and flexible with my approach, everything I prepare for my students is on an individual level, starting with a basic assessment of abilities and a review of any current struggles with applicable learning topics/skills. I try to focus on the personality of the individual and approach them in a way that they are comfortable and familiar with. I utilize the student's specific learning patterns to prepare my approach to give them the best learning experience possible. I am organiz
