Fun Facts

I have 4 children ages 18 to 6! I have goats, chickens, and dogs as well. I was born in Japan and lived all over the U.S. because my dad was in the military until I was 14.

About Me

I have lived all over the U.S. and found my home in Tennessee. I have a husband, 4 kids, goats, dogs, and chickens! I graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor's degree in English Literature and another in Political Science. I then moved to Tennessee and became a teacher! I obtained a master's in Education and then a few years later my Master's in English. Obviously, I love school.

Experience

I live in Tennessee and have been teaching for 16 years. I have taught all levels of high school English, literature, and writing. I teach remedial all the way up to Advanced Placement. I also have taught at local community colleges and DeVry University for over 10 years. I can teach anyone how to write and do so successfully!

Approach

Each student is an individual and learns differently. In a large classroom, that means many students get lost. The great part of tutoring is we can establish a relationship and adjust instruction to the needs of the individual student. If a student isn't comfortable with their tutor, they will not ask questions - which means they are not getting the most out of their sessions.
