Fun Facts
I love to play the harp! Although I play classically for my major, I also play violin in bands and jam with friends on the weekends. While music is one of my passions, I also love reading and traveling. I am nicknamed the "burrito snake" by my friends because I have an unashamed love for the delicious bundle of goodness and enjoy them often (probably too often).
About Me
I am in my 3rd of 5 years at boston-university">Boston University studying harp performance and biochemistry. I am currently deciding what I want to apply to graduate school for, but am leaning towards chemistry. I have been a leader at Sojourn BU for two years, which is an on-campus ministry group that focuses on improving both our collegiate and local communities through active peer- involvement and collaboration.
I tutored in high school (on general subjects) and have volunteered as a chemistry boston">tutor at BU. I have taught both violin and harp lessons to a variety of ages and enjoy spreading knowledge through a variety of subjects.
As a boston">tutor, it is not only my job to help students find answers, but also to understand how to develop techniques to find answers for themselves. I have two siblings with learning disabilities and have had many experiences with them in which I not only help them with their individual work, but come up with creative solutions that help them understand the material for themselves. I believe that everyone has the ability to learn, it's just finding how each person learns best. As both a music and biochemistry student, I understand that the brain works differently for different subject material. I believe my diverse studies enable me to help people think outside of their own box and really grow in how to approach different problematic material.
