About Me

I am a Junior Political Science and English double major from Oakland, California. I am involved in student government, the College of Arts and Sciences Honors Program, and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. In the future, I plan to attend law school.

My washington-dc">tutoring experiences include providing homework help for middle school aged children at the Boys and Girls Club and serving as an in-class assistant at New Vision Learning Academy. While volunteering at the Boys and Girls Club, I was able to interact with students and build mentor based relationships. Working as an in-class assistant allowed me to develop and implement organized strategies to help students that were performing at a lower level than the majority of the class.

The most important element to establish and maintain while washington-dc">tutoring is comfort. In order for a washington-dc">tutor and student to accurately pinpoint the student's problems or areas of desired improvement, the student must feel comfortable expressing their difficulties. As a washington-dc">tutor, I have found that it is essential for a washington-dc">tutor to work in conjunction with a student's parents and teachers in order to facilitate a student's development and improvement. I also emphasize the importance of organizational skills as key components to a student's progression and success in academia. I look forward to teaching these skills and to the students serviced by Frog washington-dc">Tutoring.
