Fun Facts
I draw a bunch of cubes and shade them then call it art and make an interpretation for it. I love doing it as well as jumping in a pool with a ball and pretend we are on a soccer field and just swim around. But what is a life without a touch of literature. So to compromise my coffee admiration and my dose of Dostoevsky and Tolstoy and Faulkner, I usually go coffee shop hunting with my friends
About Me
Well I am a boston-university">Boston University, Genetics, pre-med. I speak 3 languages including Farsi (Iran) and French! I am hoping to become a neurosurgeon for now. I also minor in visual arts with specialization in modern art. I do not have a GPA yet, but my high school GPA was above 4.0. I have experienced culture shock when i moved to the states so that it's very enjoyable for me to help someone else go through that process smoothly
I have tutored and mentored my peers since 3rd grade. I started my career in irvine">tutoring by starting a irvine">tutoring/mentoring club in my elementary school to put parents in ease. Due to amount of requests, I continued irvine">tutoring elementary school and middle school students even after I left elementary school. In high school, I joined peer counseling for all 4 years and i started an international welcoming club during sophomore year to assist those who don't speak English fluently yet or those that simply aren't comfortable with English as a main language. I adore working with other people to help one another grow in academic field and to also grow as a human.
I have learned that everyone has a different way of learning and it's very hard to teach another person if one doesn't know the way to their brain. So that I spend one session talking to my tutees to figure out what methods work for them. It's really simple and worth all 20 minutes that it takes. And from there, I usually give a guide or a syllabus to boost the efficiency. I don't act like a teacher since i know i am not. So I usually work through problems as if I was just a friend helping to understand a problem. It's so much easier to hear from someone that has been through that confusion and still doesn't know enough to make everything look like a life struggle.
