
Fun Facts
I am passionate about cooking and preparing dinners for family and friends on weekends and holidays. I take more than six hours in the kitchen preparing everyone's favorite food at Thanksgiving and Christmas. My sons enjoy traditional food prepared by their mother. They are still mother's boys.
About Me
I am a finalist Doctoral student at Capella University majoring in Information Assurance and Cyber Security, hoping to graduate by March 2023. I have joined student work study and I am working as a Graduate Assistant II (tutor) assisting undergraduate students. I love partnering with the community. So, I do voluntary work at Red Cross where I am a member of the disaster recovery team. I am also doing voluntary work at Second Blessing where my role varies with demand.

I pay attention to detail and proficiently identify students’ learning styles to tailor working examples to their needs. I assist students learn how to solve problems using different approaches and make them understand that struggling is not failing but learning, thereby instilling the confidence they need to proceed and be successful in accomplishing their learning goals.

I am a seasoned developer with decades of computer programming experience. I have written computer programs using different programming languages. Computer programming is about logic. Being logical, specific, and understanding that small errors can cause far-reaching problems. My bachelor’s degree major in application and database development is about computer programming, and I completed it with an excellent GPA of 3.72. I find my industry experience invaluable when tutoring because tacit knowledge gained over the years gives me an advantage in identifying and solving problems. Introduction to Java, advanced Java, HTML, and PHP are some programming languages I took for my bachelor’s degree.
HTML Tutoring

Java Tutoring
As my bachelor's degree was focused on application development,, Java is one of the object-oriented programming languages. I did two courses on Java, Introduction to Java and advanced Java. I have developed written applications using Java, it is one of the popular object-oriented programming languages.
Javascript Tutoring
Although I developed my website using HTML and CSS, JavaScript is an essential component of the three languages for developing websites. HTML provides the building blocks for the website, and CSS makes the page look the way the website owner wants it to look.- makes it aesthetic. JavaScript gives the web page functionality -- makes it do things. Since web development was part of my core bachelor’s degree program, I had to be proficient in the three languages needed to produce an aesthetic, functional website, and I have used them for a long time.
Microsoft Access Tutoring
MS Access provides a database system that is more straightforward and more popular. It provides a sound system automation platform for smaller systems. At my previous employer, I used to load small subsidiary company systems on MS Access to provide them with automated processes at an affordable cost. It was also part of my bachelor’s degree database development courses
Microsoft Excel Tutoring
I have been using Microsoft Excel for a time immemorial. It is handy when trying to balance accounting transactions. I have extensively used Microsoft Excel at work. It was also one of my bachelor's degree sophomore subjects. The use of formulae makes it handy in a variety of processes. I am enthusiastic about sharing my experiences with this course so others can easily process their home budgets and expenses.
Microsoft PowerPoint Tutoring
As a manager, I have been making presentations to the board of directors, computer steering committees, and other organisational bodies. This required me to be proficient at preparing presentations using PowerPoint. Besides, it was one of the subjects taken in my bachelor's degree program.
PHP Tutoring
PHP is my favorite server-side web development language I have used PHP extensively to develop websites, including online purchasing systems. It was also one of the subjects taken in my bachelor s degree program. I excelled in the subject because I have broad experience in programming.
SQL Tutoring
SQL is one of the programming languages related to relational databases. I am currently tutoring introduction to databases to undergraduate students at Capella University. I have taken Oracle PL/SLQ, MS Server SQL, and MySQL. My proficiency in tutoring this course can be verified by visiting my website and viewing testimonials.

Basic Computer Skills Tutoring
I have taken the following introductory subjects at the bachelor's degree level Computer Concepts & Applications, Information systems hardware and software, and Introduction to Information Science & Systems. I passed all of them with an A grade. I am confident that I can assist others in understanding computers better and consider them friends, not monsters.
COBOL Tutoring
COBOL is one of the first programming languages. I learned and applied at work. I learned it at a technical college and passed with a grade A. The other language I learned was the BASIC programming language. Then the computer industry was focused on writing well-structured programs to simplify program and system maintenance.
C++ Tutoring
Having developed programs for decades, I find it easy to learn any programming language. Though I did not take C++ in college, I trained myself in C++ because I was assigned to tutor introduction to programming using the C programming language. Having done Java, C#, and other object-oriented programming languages, I found myself excelling in my role as a tutor in programming using C, and I am confident I can do better with C++.
C Tutoring
The C programming language is one of the languages I did not do in college. However, it is one of the subjects I was assigned to tutor at Capella University. Therefore, I trained myself, and it was not a problem having programmed for a long time using different programming languages. I still excelled in tutoring the subject and am confident I can still excel in this role at Frog Tutoring.
Accounting Tutoring
I have done Principles of Accounts as a subject in my bachelor's degree program and passed with an ‘A’ grade.
I have done three accounting levels, from Accounting I to Accounting II and III. These courses deal with accounting at different levels, including international accounting. I can proficiently prepare financial statements, Cash Flow Statements, P& L Statements, and Balance Sheets, and I can evaluate organisational performance using financial accounts using financial ratios. I have proficient knowledge of accounts payable. and receivables, can do bank reconciliation, and manage the petty cash account.
Computer Science Tutoring
I can confidently teach Computer Science. I have done computer Concepts and Applications, introduction to Information Science and Systems, and Introduction to Human and Computer interactions at the bachelor’s degree level and got an 'A' grade in all three subjects. I also did IS Hardware and Software and several database and application development courses. I got either grade ‘A’ or ‘B’ in each of the subjects enabling me to achieve a GPA of 3.72 at the end of the program. I also received many exemptions because I had broad experience in the IT industry.
