Fun Facts

As of right now I am currently in Martial Arts with my dad. We train together. I also like working out everyday to stay in shape. My favorite sport is Basketball. My NBA team is the Lakers. I have two older sisters, which means i'm the youngest in my family. I am very outgoing and love to try new things. Also hopefully in the future I will learn to play a musical instrument.

About Me

After obtaining my Associates in Science Degree in Biological Sciences I am currently working on my B.A in Chemistry and Biology with Minors in Math and Business Administration at fresno-pacific-university">Fresno Pacific University. Afterwards my goal is to go to Medical School and obtain a MD/MBA Joint Degree. Once I have obtained that degree I wish to work at a Government hospital to give back to my country by assisting the military veterans.

As a member of the Science.Technology.Engineering.Mathematics Program I had a unique opportunity of creating science projects to do with kids in after school programs in the schools of the Fresno community. I also had the opportunity to help teach college students math in the math fresno">tutoring center. I am currently a volunteer fresno">tutor for the Wise Old Owl program in Fresno, CA. In this program I get the opportunity to go teach kids in the local community once a week for 2 plus hours. I am also a volunteer fresno">tutor at Greenberg Elementary School in Fresno, CA. as a fresno">tutor here I get the opportunity to fresno">tutor groups of students in two different classes twice a week. These opportunities have given me a lot of experience with dealing with a child's preferred way of learning.

Well, as a fresno">tutor I understand that some of the information that the child is learning won't always be fun or interesting to them. My goal is to introduce certain concepts and information to them in a fun way that will get the child to engage and want to learn. I have noticed that encouragement and positive words help a child feel good and want to continue learning. As a fresno">tutor iI understand I have to be flexible with every child's different learning ways so I will try my best to incorporate their learning ways into my helping and teaching.
