I am a big soccer fan. I have played and coached and I follow several teams throughout the world. I am also an active e pickleball player and I also enjoy playing guitar.

About Me

I was born and raised in Mexico City. I moved to the United States with my family during my teenage years and I finished high school and my undergraduate degree in California. I worked in the film/television industry for over 10 years before I became a teacher. I completed my master's degree in Minnesota and I taught for over 28 years in Spanish immersion programs and middle and high school programs as a math teacher. I retired from teaching and am now enjoying being a tutor.

Experience

I have worked as an educator for 30 years in a variety of diverse educational settings. I have worked with students ranging from 3rd grade through high school throughout my career. I have also had the opportunity to deliver curriculum in several core content subjects in both Spanish and English.

Approach

I believe that forming positive relationships with students and their families is an essential part of being a good educator. Communication is a key to forming those relationships that help form effective and successful academic teams for students.
