Fun Facts
I am a published author!
I started to love writing in third grade when I won a spelling bee contest in which we had to use all the spelling words in a story! Since then, I have been writing short stories, poetry, and realistic fiction books. I have one published poetry book and multiple scientific articles. One of my dreams is to publish a children's story!
About Me
I am a graduate of Suffolk Community College, I received my AAS degree in Addiction Services. I am looking to go back to school, to further my education in Human Services. I love to read and write. I also love arts and crafts, the outdoors, and animals.
Experience
As a member of the peer mentoring club in my high school and college, I assisted with tutoring children k-12 in English, reading, reading comprehension, and writing.
Approach
As a child, what came easier to others, did not come so easy to me. I was often found lost in a book, but I struggled with other topics that required me to socialize with my peers. Over the years, many teachers have assisted me in learning not only how to be myself but to be confident with the skills I have. I take a kind, sensitive and warm approach to tutoring and education as a whole.
