Fun Facts

A fun Fact about me is that I love children!! I come from a big family and being in a position to have to babysit at a young age I grew very fond of kids and being able to teach them and watch them grow and mature with my assistance.

About Me

I am an East Coast native, went to school for early childhood education and currently going back for a degree in Psychology. I started to get into the education field once I moved to California from the East Coast 5 years ago. I initially started off as a para working alongside teachers in the classroom and in a few years tapped into Behavioral Therapy.

Experience

Over the years I’ve tapped into a variety of fields in education. I’ve worked as a para in the school district for 2 years geared toward children in education/california/fresno">special education. I also have worked for the past 3 years as a Behavioral Therapist and quickly got promoted to a Behavioral Specialist due to my impact on the district. My role also included training other Paras and RBTs on how to implement strategies to best serve and reach students.

Approach

Through my education, I quickly realized that learning is not a “one shoe fits all” process. I strive on finding each child’s learning style and using positive reinforcements as a way to motivate them to get excited about learning. I believe that no child should be left behind and I find passion in being able to make my students feel excited and confident with their approach to academics.
