I am a former teacher with a passion for education! In my free time, I LOVE to spend time hiking with my dogs, hanging with my family, and catching up with friends. I enjoy outdoor activities that get me moving - sports, biking, etc.!

About Me

I am a former education/georgia/columbus">special education teacher. Both my undergraduate and graduate degree are in education. I look forward to the opportunity to make a difference in the learning of others!

Experience

Most of my professional experience has been with elementary-level content. I am still a certified GA Educator, though, for grades P-12. I have strength in teaching reading and math. I am very familiar with IEPs, specific goals, progressing monitoring, research-based strategies, and knowing different learning modalities. I love teaching!

Approach

There is nothing more rewarding than educating. Many students lose their love and interest in learning because they may feel inadequate or that they are not smart enough. The best feeling is when you see that same child realize that they ARE smart enough and can do anything. I aim to provide that!
