Fun Facts

I spend a lot of my free time playing sports and following professional sports. My favorite sport to play is soccer, I have played soccer since I was 4 years old. My favorite professional sport is football, GO HAWKS! I also enjoy snowboarding and adventurous activities. I am an outdoorsmen. I prefer to spend most of my time outdoors, whether it be camping, fishing, hunting, hiking, or mountain biking.

About Me

I am a Junior at the washington">University of Washington majoring in Accounting. I was born and raised in a small town named Selah, located just outside of Yakima. I moved to washington/seattle">Seattle after I graduated High School in 2012 to start my freshmen year at UW. I joined a fraternity that specializes in business and business connections. My goal is to attend a fifth year here and get my CPA and work for an accounting firm in washington/seattle">Seattle. Eventually I would like to move out of this area in washington/seattle">Seattle to a small, quieter town.

I have no direct washington/washington/seattle">seattle">tutoring experience, but all throughout my high school and college experience I have had my peers approach me for help with their school work. This has increased since I have arrived at UW. I excel in both math and accounting, so I constantly have people coming to me for help in both subjects. Since I am a Junior now, a lot of the freshmen in my fraternity come to me for advice and help in the prerequisite courses, since I have completed them.

When I am approached by one of my peers for help, my number one goal is to make sure they understand how we arrived at the answer we did. It isn't enough to show them how to do it, you have to make sure they understand the ins and outs of the question and answer so when they encounter a similar, but not the same, question they will know the steps necessary to arrive at the correct answer. I am very patient when it comes to teaching others, not everybody thinks the same way. So in order to get the message across you may need to deliver the message in a variety of different ways.
