Fun Facts
I love sports (soccer, hockey, basketball). I love California, and especially the Bay Area -- it's a great place to live! I do not have any brothers or sisters, but I do have three cousins.
About Me
I am a mathematician. I was a student at UC Berkeley, and then I went to the grad. school at Stanford. Right now I am looking for a teaching job (either at a university or community college) because of my passion for helping others with their mathematical challenges.
I worked as a math tutor at City College of SF in 1999-2000. Last fall I decided to take some programming classes at City College of SF, and I decided to work there as a math tutor again, so I've been working there as a math tutor since last October. I enjoy working with people, and I am excited to join the Frog Tutoring team.
I was very lucky to have great teachers who have helped me develop deep understanding and passion for mathematics. I use the same approach with my students. I use a variety of teaching techniques (e.g. working out a similar problem in details, giving a hint, breaking down a problem in a few easy-to-understand blocks, etc.). My goal is to help students understand how mathematics works so that they can succeed in their math courses.
