Fun Facts

I learned Spanish in school starting when I was three years old, but I've lost the ability to practice outside of school so I'd love to get back to the basics if anyone is struggling to learn the language. I love to read and write; I'm currently working on a poetry book that I'm hoping to publish shortly. I also love to draw and paint, watch movies, and listen to music. In my free time, I like to hang out with my roommates' cat, Saffron.

About Me

I'm taking this next semester off of school, but I just finished my first year towards an Associate's in Applied Science of Music Business at Mesa Community College. I currently work as an Assistant Manager at Zia Records so I have lots of experience with training and organizing teams and groups. I love music and the arts and am a proud advocate, especially of arts education.

Experience

I've never officially tutored, but I did help my sister in high school with her Spanish class and taught her the basic language fundamentals so she could get through her two-year requirements. I have been a recipient of tutoring for math, so I feel like I learned a lot from watching my tutor interact with me as well.

Approach

As a child and throughout my adolescence I had a really tough time focusing on school and getting my assignments in on-time. Although I've always been a great student apart from this, my focus as an adult who was recently diagnosed with ADHD is to help others who may have had similar struggles. Fun and open communication is my biggest driving force in everything I do, so my hope is that people will feel comfortable working with me no matter what they need help in.
