Fun Facts
One passion of mine is camping! If you ever need me, you can find me deep in the woods pitching a tent. I also enjoy hiking, yoga, traveling, and reading. I am a huge history buff and love learning new and interesting facts about ancient civilizations. My dream is to see the Egyptian pyramids one day!
About Me
I graduated cum laude from the University of Arizona with a B.S. degree in Psychology and a minor in education/arizona/scottsdale">Special Education/Rehabilitation! I was on the Dean's List for 3 consecutive years and obtained multiple academic distinction awards during my time as an undergrad! Next year, I plan on pursuing my Master's in Applied Behavior Analysis to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Experience
During my time at the University of Arizona, I had the opportunity to intern as a tutor and employment coach for students with special and specific learning needs. Therefore, I learned how to modify a variety of academic material according to a learner's skill set and interests. I have also worked with preschool to elementary-school-aged children on various age-appropriate subjects. Working for Frog Tutoring gives me the chance to help more students achieve their academic goals!
Approach
My approach to learning is recognizing that not every student learns the same way. Therefore, I always try to modify or adapt lessons to the student's specific learning styles. I believe that this approach highlights a student's strengths and allows them to absorb more academic material. As a tutor, I believe that learning should be fun and not looked at as a chore. Therefore, I try to bring this attitude into every session so that my students are just as excited as I am to learn new things.
