About Me
I'm a personal ArcGIS User and hold a Master's degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) from Pennsylvania State University. Even after graduating, I continue to learn and build my GIS skills through my projects.
Experience
During my GIS Master’s program, I worked as a Research Analyst Intern for Maxar Technologies to create and update geospatial data and metadata within their geodatabase. Shortly after, I worked for C4 Technical Services and NX Utilities to update their geospatial data on electrical and telecommunication utilities through the compilation and analysis of work order documents. During my years in high school and undergrad school, I struggled to learn without the needed support. However, I learned significantly through Penn State's simplified teaching structure and individual support from its instructors and counselors.

MastersBasic Computer Skills Tutoring
For my Associate degree in Criminal Justice, the courses I focused on were computer-related crimes investigation and using the internet as an investigation tool, in which basic computer skills are a requirement, passing with A and B grades. My Master's degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) requires me to use a computer to operate GIS software, and I completed the program with a GPA of 3.780. I combined what I learned and utilized various tools on the computer to help locate and identify distributors of unapproved drugs for law enforcement as part of a capstone project.
Microsoft Excel Tutoring
Microsoft Excel had been a requirement for me to use as a way to create a data table or attribute data for my work in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). In one of my courses, "Problem Solving with GIS," I would import my data from excel into the GIS system to display geospatial data. I could also use my GIS System to create an excel sheet out of the geospatial data as a means to review statistics. My success in using excel for GIS would allow me to achieve an "A" for the course.
Criminal Justice Tutoring
I have an Associate of Science in Criminal Justice Public Safety Services and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Science with a GPA of 3.33. Throughout my undergrad years, Criminal Justice has been my major and took multiple courses ranging from forensic science and fingerprint development to internet fraud Investigations and using the internet as an investigative tool. I would later use what I learned and apply them to a Capstone project for a master's degree program and assisted law enforcement with locating and identifying unapproved drug distributors during the COVID pandemic.
Microsoft Word Tutoring
For every term report I wrote, I have always used Microsoft Word. To help improve my writing, I utilize an add-on from Grammarly when reviewing my work. The continuous improvement of my work on Microsoft Word when writing my reports resulted in me graduating with my Master’s degree with a GPA of 3.780.
Geography Tutoring
I have a master’s degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) from Penn State with a GPA of 3.780. GIS allows me to display and analyze spatial information to identify and solve various problems and focus on physical and human geography. I have used GIS to assist law enforcement in locating and identifying unapproved drug distributors during the COVID pandemic as part of my Capstone Project.
Python Tutoring
I have utilized the Python scripting language as part of the GIS Programming course at Penn State and received an A. I would create scripting tools under the Arcpy module for the ArcGIS platform in that course. Outside of class, I still utilize Python to create a geodatabase and scrape spatial data from one geodatabase to another as part of a personal project to enhance my python skillset.
