About Me

I'm a Texas board-certified educator with 6 years of experience in public education. My first degree is a B.A. in Political Science and Arabic, with an emphasis on Middle Eastern Studies. I am currently pursuing a secondary degree, a B.S. in Psychology.

Experience

I have taught grade levels 6th to 12th grade and various subjects across different academic levels of the curriculum, including I.B. (International Baccalaureate), Pre-AP (Advanced Placement), and AP.

Approach

As a student, I struggled with proper motivation and support in learning as someone (identified later in life) as neurodivergent. My teachers saw me as 'lazy' with little potential, despite having a deep love of learning and natural curiosity. As a teacher now, I see the same issues I struggled with as a student and strive to understand each individual's learning style and capitalize on their potential with tailor-made approaches.
