Fun Facts
Along with my passion for history, I love reading and will pick up any interesting book, be it fiction or non-fiction. This has led to me owning my private mini-library. When I am not studying history or reading, I play video games, watch TV, and spend time with my family. I am not the best cook unless it is breakfast or sandwiches, but that is what learning is for.
About Me
I received my BA in History from Grand Canyon University in the spring of 2022 and am currently enrolled in GCU's graduate program for an MA in History with an emphasis on education. Many of the classes I have taken at GCU have focused on U.S. history, but I have researched all historical periods.
Experience
Though my job experience as a tutor is next to none, I have had the experience of privately helping my peers with their history classes by leading study groups and around ten years of academic study in the field of history.
Approach
As someone who understands how boring history can be in the classroom for all ages, one approach I try to take when tutoring is to make it as comfortable and fun as possible. History can be fun to learn and engaging if the time is taken, and I try every time to accomplish that by making history relatable to the student. Focusing on discussion-based learning rather than lecturing, I try to keep the student interactive in both the subject and the history.
