Fun Facts
I spent three years serving as medic in the U.S. Army before pursuing my career as a CPA - and that comes with plenty of fun stories! You’ll also quickly learn that I love Disney and my memory for movie lines and songs lyrics is nearly unparalleled.
About Me
I am currently wrapping up my MBA and looking to transition into education full-time. I am incredibly passionate about helping people achieve their potential, and I know that I can translate my work experience into practical examples that can help students form meaningful connections between their study material and the world around them.
Experience
I facilitated many technical trainings for public auditors at a variety of skills levels to prepare them for their professional careers in a large, multi-national firm. I also was solely responsible for developing and delivering a full-day symposium on career readiness targeted at military personnel within one year of entering the civilian workforce.
Approach
Over the years, I have found that asking leading questions and allowing people to arrive at the correct answer is significantly more effective in understanding and retaining complex information. My goal is to create a safe space where the student can gain confidence in themselves by using critical thinking to puzzle their way through material in their own time, providing support rather than strict instruction.
