People tend to learn quickly about me and I love trying new things and learning more about the scientific world around me. When I'm taking a break from studying/classes, I enjoy doing origami and playing the piano.
About Me
I am a first-year student at the washington">University of Washington in Seattle. Prior to attending university, I was on the honor roll for all four years of high school! I am currently on my school's Dean's list. I plan to attend medical school after I graduate.
Experience
In my junior year of high school, I noticed that many younger students were struggling to adapt to school remotely, especially in math classes. I decided to start my own math tutoring sessions for students in grades 3–8. I spent 6-7 hours each week helping students with their homework or providing supplemental practice to the material they were learning in class. I've slowly expanded since then to tutoring high school students in various math courses and test prep.
Approach
Growing up, I found school tended to come easier to me than most. As a result, I found comfort in tutoring students by sharing the tips and tricks I've developed along the way. I've noticed that each student learns differently and the most important aspect of education is finding which strategy works best for each student.

As a biochemistry major, I am well versed in all the topics entailed in general chemistry courses. I've tutored students in the past with chemistry and have done well in taking chemistry courses myself. In high school I scored a four out of five on the AP Chemistry exam.

STAAR Math Tutoring
I have tutored two students in grades 3-5 increasing their STAAR Math scores. Both students were able to steadily increase their STAAR scores by 100 points within the span of a year and feel more confident in their math skills/strategies.
