About Me
I am a third-year medical student at the miami">University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. I have an extensive cancer research background and will be applying for residency programs in Pediatrics next year, with plans to become a pediatric hematologist-oncologist. I am a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan and fill my free time with sporting events, concerts, exercise, and my record collection.
Experience
As a member of the National Honor Society, I engaged in tutoring my classmates in science and math during my senior year of high school. In college, I served as a teaching assistant for a course designed to explore and implement novel approaches to teaching science to high school students. Approach
Until my freshman year of college, schoolwork came naturally to me and I excelled without needing to put conscious effort into studying. My first semester at Penn as a pre-med student left me with an abysmal initial GPA and quickly proved that I needed to learn how to study in earnest if I ever wanted to attend medical school. I learned how to study complex material in a way that embodied the saying "work smarter, not harder". I have largely eschewed flashcards in favor of the studying method
