Fun Facts
One of my favorite hobbies is that I have competitively fenced for over 8 years!
About Me
I am a freshman at Rice University studying bioengineering! I hope to pursue a master's degree in bioengineering to hopefully one day pursue biotechnology and/or research.
Experience
As President of my high school's OHSU-Science Ambassadors program, I led a STEM mentorship program for over 75 high school and elementary school kids to teach fun and engaging STEM labs. As an officer on my school's National Honors Society chapter, I also helped organize a peer tutoring program for my peers. Finally, I was also a Teaching Assistant for the BioBuilder Educational Foundation, where I helped introduce concepts of bioengineering and synthetic biology to 24 middle schoolers.
Approach
I believe that learning is an iterative process - through repeated attempts at practice, revision, learning, and more practice, we can gradually increase our understanding of difficult concepts. "Failure" is just the first step towards success.
