Fun Facts
As I become more immersed in the world I have grown to appreciate the Sun and the Earth so much more. Acknowledging the food I eat, the warmth of the sun, and the beautiful green life the z earth provided every day makes me more appreciative of where I am right now. It lifts my spirits and allows me to take on the day at a more manageable pace, and grounds me to the idea that “Today is one more day to be myself.” My love for reading has grown, as well as travel, cooking/baking, and running!
About Me
I am currently a sophomore at Towson University, studying Elementary and Early Childhood Education. I love working with young students, specifically ages 9-12. I am a hard worker who always strives to provide the best education for my students and me, even if it is not the easiest. I have been working since I was 14 and my commitment to staying afloat in the working world has brought me to where I am today, working as an After School teacher just at 19!
Experience
I started working in the classroom as a teacher in the summer of 2022. I was an Enrichment Specialist through the YMCA Summer School Program at HolaBird Academy in Baltimore, MD. I worked there for the summer and then got a job at Wolfe Street Academy as a Lead Teacher in their After School Program to teach Science to the 4th Grade, and Art to the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. I currently am working there.
Approach
I went through high school and a little bit of college not knowing how to retain the information that I was learning. I found it to be overwhelming, the amount I was expected to learn. It was hard to keep up, and I felt like I was being pushed to my limits. However, as my coursed became more interesting to me, I realized I was retaining all the information I was learning effortlessly. I applied that to my teaching with my students, I tried my best to make what we were learning interesting to
