AP English Tutoring

In high school, I took both AP English Language and Comprehension and AP English Literature. I received a 5 on both AP tests, and finished with an A+ in both courses. At Rice, I have taken a lot of humanities classes in which I have had to analyze and argue complex anthropological and theoretical texts.

Arts Tutoring

I have been a dancer for 10 years, and I have training in ballet, contemporary, lyrical, modern, musical theatre, jazz, hip hop, and tap. I can teach dance lessons to any age level K-12, along with teaching them the theories and histories behind certain styles and choreographers. I currently dance with Rice Dance Theatre.

Being a college student, I have dealt with my fair share of homework. I have gotten down a good system of working efficiently and effectively. These skills just come from many years of trail and error, and I have tips that I could pass down to younger students.

Psychology Tutoring

I am a Psychology major at Rice and have so far taken Social Psychology (A+) and am currently taking Cognitive Psychology. I also took AP Psychology in high school and finished with a 5 on the AP test and a grade of A+. I have participated in 8 hours of psychological research here at Rice, and I love the field!

Reading and comprehension has always been a strong suit for me, and I have read a lot of texts, with varying styles, throughout AP classes in high school and mostly social science/ humanities classes at Rice. I received a 720 on the reading section of the SAT which was among the 98th percentile of test-takers.

Study Skills Tutoring

Again, these skills have come with many years of taking tests and studying for exams. I have always been a diligent and determined test-taker, and have acquired efficient techniques for getting good grades. I always encourage students to go to test corrections. I have recieved primarily 4s and 5s on AP tests, and I got a 1430 superstore on the SAT.

Writing has always been a string suit of mine. I have experience in argumentative, academic, narrative, creative, and analytical writing. I earned a 100 in my Freshman writing course at Rice, and a 6,6, and 8 on the essay portion of the SAT.

Italian Tutoring

I have taken one semester of Italian at Rice (A+), and am currently in my second semester. I know basic Italian such as conjugation, verbs, and vocabulary, and would be able to teach some beginner Italian lessons. I am also studying abroad with a language program in Rome, Italy this upcoming summer of 2023.

I am a social sciences major at Rice in both Psychology and Anthropology. I have always received A's in my history, government, and economics classes, while also reaching a 5 on all related AP tests. I have a passion for learning about the behaviors and systems of people.
