Fun Facts
Looking to tutor because I love the clicking moment when somebody finally gets the answer for something they have been stuck on. I am mostly self-taught (don't let that fool you). I scored a 90 on my ASVAB without studying so teaching that will be a strong suit for me. I program websites and side projects for fun so science/arizona/phoenix">computer science is also a strong suit, as well as math.
About Me
I am 18 years old, I graduated high school two years ago and I have taught myself plenty of information since then and I want to help someone else with what I've learned. I have helped many friends and students from my school with homework and learning rough material so I am familiar with helping people. I do very well with little children, I usually teach them to clean up and organize themselves because I have terrible OCD. I understand I am fairly under qualified for tutoring, there are no feelings hurt if you glance over my profile. I am planning on going to the Navy by June, so I am only a temporary placement until you find someone more qualified.
Experience
I don't have much experience tutoring outside of helping friends and family with a few homework subjects. I have helped a few high school students change their math grade from a D to a high B. Working with my younger brothers means I have years worth of dealing with hyper children.
Approach
I've always held the basis that no matter how many answers you give a child they need to understand the material on their own. It can be a difficult method, but a good teacher teaches someone so that they no longer need them. There shouldn't be much stress when teaching the student so it's important to maintain a professional outlook while still making learning somewhat fun and approachable for the specific student.
