Fun Facts
I am a huge music nerd and dabble in composing. I'm originally from Montana and love large dogs (I've had a mastiff and multiple Rottweilers). I love track and field and ran under two Olympic medalists and with some Arizona state record holders before I graduated.
About Me
I study biomedical engineering at South Mountain Community College. I am the president of my school's engineering club, and I hope to have a career in regenerative medicine, which involves 5engineering tissues and organs in a lab for implantation into patients.
Experience
I tutored mathematics in high school as a member of my school's Mu Alpha Theta club. I also worked for a high school teaching nonverbal autistic teenagers. I've done some work with engineering educational outreach in Phoenix's South Side, as well.
Approach
My pedagogical approach emphasizes practical uses of the material that is covered. Most students don't enjoy subjects such as mathematics because the subject seems so abstract and without a translation to real-world applications. If a student can see mathematics in real life, the subject becomes much more interesting. I think it's important to relate topics a student is interested in with the material that they see in class to make their understanding even deeper.

Biomedical Engineering
Pre Algebra Tutoring
I've passed mathematics courses through collegiate-level Calculus 1, so I am capable of mathematics at the pre-algebra level. More importantly, I have experience conveying all levels of mathematics to students at all levels of high school.
Algebra Tutoring
I tested past algebra 1 in high school, but I use it every day in calculus 2 and linear algebra classes. I've passed Calculus 1 at a collegiate level and can teach the algebra that is needed for a high school algebra 1 course, as I tutored for it while I was in high school.
Algebra II Tutoring
I got an A+ in Algebra 2 honors in high school. The class included Trigonometry, as well as algebra. I am an engineering student who has passed classes as high as Calculus 1. I have experience tutoring this subject while I was in high school.
Anatomy Physiology I Tutoring
I got an A in Honors Anatomy/Physiology 1 in high school. I am studying Biomedical Engineering, so I have a more in-depth knowledge of a number of bodily systems and how they work from a collegiate-level engineering perspective. I am good at teaching this subject, as I have experience with teaching about human systems to even collegiate students.
Math Tutoring
I got a 4.44 weighted GPA in high school and passed both AP Calculus and AP Statistics, so I am on a good level to convey general high school mathematics. I've got experience tutoring all grade levels in high school.
Pre Calculus Tutoring
I got a high B in pre-Calculus at a collegiate level. It is a subject I use every day in my calculus work, so I am rather familiar with it and in good practice.
Calculus Tutoring
I passed Collegiate Calculus 1 with a high B. I am in the practice of basic calculus every day, as I study engineering, which requires the fundamentals to build tougher classes off of. I casually tutored other students in Calculus 1, and my professor called me his "strongest student". Everyone who cared to ask me questions ended up passing the class comfortably.
Geometry Tutoring
Got an A in Honors Geometry freshman year of high school. Tutored subject in high school.
Middle School Math Tutoring
Got a 4.00 in middle school and now study calculus as an engineering major. I've tutored as high as Calculus 1 at the collegiate level, so I am proficient enough at this level of mathematics to teach it.
Math Advance Tutoring
