About Me

I am a recent graduate from Whitworth University where I got my degree in both Biology and English Writing (double major) and a minor in Environmental Science. I'm currently serving a term with a service organization (like AmeriCorps) in Seattle. I just got into my top-choice law school and am excited to start in the fall of 2023.

Experience

In college, I was a Teaching Assistant in Biology. I learned the value of being able to break down complex topics into smaller, easier-to-understand pieces, very quickly. I used skills from my English major in the Biology major often, and vice versa.

Approach

I love being able to take a concept that is challenging and learning the actual concept outside of its context, then putting it back in. For example, I often held Anatomy study sessions in the campus bouldering gym, where my students could learn in a hands-on way. Over the internet, this "hands-on" approach will look a little different, but its the outside the box emphasis that I enjoy.
