Fun Facts

I love to knit and crochet as well as read in my free time! Nothing is better than finding a new book or project to dive into and unwind. Spanish language literature is my passion and I hope to pursue a graduate degree in researching underrepresented voices and topics in this field and academia as a whole. I hope to encourage others from underrepresented backgrounds to engage with higher education and their passions as far as they would like in order to further discover what paths they might pursue

About Me

I am a peer supporter and find encouraging others to be a vital part of living a fulfilling life. Be it offering my thoughts and ears or helping people understand a subject they are struggling with, being able to help others is what motivates me! I believe everyone has the ability to pursue their highest potential, they just need the right environment and support to thrive and see their strengths. We are all individuals and as such, an individual approach is required when it comes to learning.

Experience

As a university student, I would revise essays and workshop with fellow students on ways they could improve their research methods as well as their writing voice. By working together we were able to identify the principles they struggled with and focus on these challenging areas to improve understanding overall. Frog Tutoring teaches with patience and open ears to allow students the confidence to voice their doubts and find the best method for them in mastering principles and subjects for success.

Approach

Early on in school, I struggled to understand subjects and it wasn't until I got individual help one on one that I was really able to thrive. I hope to use similar methods to help students gain confidence and grasp a better understanding of subjects they struggle with. I believe listening to students and getting to know their learning styles and interests is an aspect key to their becoming successful students and lifelong learners.
