About Me
I am a Junior Civil Engineering student at houston">the houston">University of Houston (UH). I have been on the Dean’s list for 2-years in the community college I attended, and I was also on the Dean’s list after transferring to this university! I’m also part of the Honors College at UH! I look forward to graduate in honors as an engineer and pursue my career!
Experience
As a high schooler, I was a Teacher Assistant for an Elementary School near by. I was in charge of teaching the students, checking homework, and conducting activities in the absence of the main teacher. Once I entered college, I tutored math for 2-years straight. These experiences gave me an opportunity to interact with both people above my age, below my age, and my peers. I also learnt to work as a team!
Approach
As a child, I never liked math. Of all the subjects I had, math was like the worst nightmare for me. I often asked my siblings to show me how to do math, but tutoring me was not so easy due to my short attention span and my hatred for math. However, my siblings were patient with me and explained to me step by step with out enforcing the concepts of the subjects. I remember that through the help of my siblings and teachers I excelled in this subject!
