Fun Facts

When I was a teen I spent time living in Sicily at the base of Mt. Etna and volunteering in Eastern Europe. I am the daughter of a education/louisiana/lafayette">Special Education teacher, but I did not discover my love of teaching until after college. I am engaged to a middle and high school band director/music teacher who calls me by my nickname of "Panda". My favorite period in history is the Tudor Dynasty; I can read and watch documentaries about it endlessly!

About Me

In my spare time, I love to volunteer at the middle/high school my fiancé works at, work with animal rescues, go to classical, jazz, and student concerts, and spend time with my family and rescue cat (Southpaw) and rescue bunny (Sweet Dee).

Experience

I graduated Summa Cum Laude (4.0) with top national and international honors with a degree in Sociology and a minor in history, and I began working as a researcher and editor for an author and human rights advocate. Due to my love of animals and years of experience volunteering, I trained as a veterinary assistant and then worked as an adviser for an animal rescue. I started tutoring privately and teaching homeschooled students in 2016, and I continued this until May 2022 when I had to relocate.

That involves getting to know the student and the family and using their interests to help them learn because there will always be
